About the artist

Ulf Looke has over 25 years of experience as a professional photographer. He describes photography as a unique way to interact with the world—through encounters with people across a wide range of environments and situations.

For Ulf, photography is as much about what is seen and captured as it is about the stories that unfold when meeting people. Each encounter offers the opportunity to broaden one’s horizons and gain a deeper understanding of the world we inhabit.

Beginning his career in the analog era, Ulf experienced the transition to digital photography as unfamiliar at first. Over time, it opened new creative possibilities and enabled new ways of storytelling through the photographic medium.
